One route is this: From M11 come off at Jnc 8 onto the (new) A120 & follow signs to Stansted Airport Terminal.

Go all the way towards the Airport, exactly as if you were going to the Terminal. At the last roundabout where the Terminal is visible (and air traffic control tower is to the left) and the short term car parks are just ahead, turn right (signposted Elsenham and Takeley). You immediately reach a mini roundabout. Turn left. (Pledgdon Barn is about 7 minutes driving from here).

Follow this winding country road for a few miles. Go past the Three Horseshoes pub (don’t turn here)…past a low level hotel (De Salis Monsoon Hotel) on the right…. round a sharp bend to the right and then you soon come to a T Junction, opposite a pub (The Crown) in Elsenham. Turn right. Go past a turning to Henham on your left (don’t take it)…and Pledgdon Barn is soon on your left.

Car park is in front of the barn.
