Pledgdon Barn is a perfect venue for beautiful wedding receptions and events and even Mediaeval Banquets - and we offer care, expertise, flexibility and attention to detail, to create your dream event, with you. You are also given the day before your event for leisurely setting out, decorative purposes.
The barn is licensed for civil ceremonies, has wonderful catering on offer with services covering the drinks and equipment aspects too. When clients book, wecan also facilitate with arrangements for a Pay Bar/ DJ, local band and can provide information about a photographer, nearby cab companies plus all the local B/Bs and hotels too. Ask us about our special discount for group bookings at two local hotels too.
Free Wedding Event Planning Assistance
After booking your date at Pledgdon Barn, we'll make an appointment with you to discuss and go through every detail of your event.
We have been organising events/catering for 30 years and will be happy to guide and make suggestions, if you wish, including a guide on drink quantities for you to obtain. We'll look at different linen colours, go through the timing for your event etc, discuss food, vegetarians and 'allergic' guests etc. After that, we create a BLUEPRINT for your specific event, setting out all the details with a handy timing schedule for you, to assist in the smooth running of your perfect day. There is no charge for this planning aspect.
Guideline: SUMMARY OF PRICES for a 2011 Wedding
The prices and many other food options are set out within this website; however, here is a sample cost guide for a summer wedding 2011 for around 100 guests:
- Barn hire: £2795 (VAT not applicable)
- Civil Ceremony: £350 (+ registrar's fee)
- DayTime Drinks service (you obtain drinks): £7.25 per head inc. staff/equipment
- 3 course set menu + coffee (SEE BELOW) @ £42.00 inc VAT @ 17.5%(inc. staff/equipment) or £46.60 inc VAT for your choice of the menu suggestions (alternatives provided for your known vegetarian/allergic guests).
- Eve Pay Bar: £255 + costs of drinks thereafter (at pub prices or less) + £25 licence
- Evening Cheeses, Bread, Fruit Buffet: £9.95 per head inc VAT (incl equipment) - alternative ideas available!
